A
single adult fare based on Network Harlow fares will cost typically £1.80
within Harlow. There are variations, many lower, and during the evenings and
on Sundays fares are generally different. Tickets may be bought on the bus,
and all will give change. In addition to the basic single fare, there are
also lots of good value ways to reduce the cost:-
If you are making a return journey, a return ticket is the best value. As an
example, Arriva or Network Harlow returns are £2.70, SM Coaches services all
sell similar tickets. Again buy on the bus.
If you are taking more than one bus, an all day ticket is the best value. As
an example, Arriva or Network Harlow day tickets are priced at £3.80.
On Sundays, when town services are supported by Essex County Council, a £2
ticket (£1 child) will allow travel on the local network all day.
The basic child fare for under 14's will be approximately £1.20 single,
£1.80 return or £2.50 for a day ticket. If you are between 14 and 20, you
can continue to obtain child fares with a student fare saver card. See
student deals below for details.
If you plan to make a number of journeys in one day, or to make the same
journey regularly, check out the fare deals below.
The fare to a
destination outside Harlow will vary depending on distance, however the vast
majority of places can be reached for under £6. Again this can be reduced by
purchasing a return. This cost of a return is typically calculated at one
and a half times the single fare. The maximum return fare to anywhere is £8,
but the majority are lower.
Child fares are generally half the adult for singles and returns, rounded up
to the nearest 10p.
If you plan to make a number of journeys in one day, or if
there are a number of you travelling together, check out the special deals
