This page gives details of some of the places outside Harlow that can be reached by bus, but where a change is involved. It is intended for those who enjoy travel, and are not necessarily in a great hurry!

Times are available for the direct connection element (i.e.to/from Harlow) on the BUS TIMES page. Times for the routes which provide the onward journey are not detailed, but all run at least hourly between about 8am and 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays unless otherwise mentioned. Please allow enough time on return journeys to ensure that the connection can be made in time.

The Star Rating System
 For each place there is a star rating  (1 star to 3 star) for value, efficiency of journey time, and ease of connection.

Value
***  Good value through ticketing deals are available providing overall good value for the whole journey.
**    Two separate tickets must be purchased, although generally good value can be achieved for the distance
*      Two separate tickets must be purchased, and at least one is likely to be at premium price

Efficiency
***  Direct routes provide the links, and the change point is logically on the route. The routes in the main represent reasonable speed for a bus journey over the distance involved.
**    Either the routes are not direct, the change point is not logically on the route to the end destination, or at least one of the routes is a slow option for the distance travelled.
*      More than one of the above applies.

Convenience
***  The change location either a purpose built terminal with at least some facilities in or close by, or a major centre that would not prove too inconvenient if baggage had to be carried.
**    The change location is an easily identified location, and with the connection available close by.
*      There maybe a short walk involved to make the change, and care will need to be taken to find the location of the connecting service.
