changes that have taken place over the past five years. This will continue to be built as

Starting 1st November 2008
Improvements to route 55
A number of changes
are being made, as follows.
A new Saturday service will be introduced between Harlow and Loughton/Debden.
Buses will run hourly along the daytime route, but will also serve North
Weald Market on Saturdays only.
During Monday to Friday rush hours more buses will serve Epping Station,
and between the rush hours (Monday to Friday daytime) buses will be
extended in Harlow to serve Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Also during rush hours, additional buses will run between Pilgrims
Hatch, Ongar and Epping Station.
Starting 10th October 2008
New services:
L55 from Harlow to Lakeside and
N55 from Harlow to Loughton and Debden
Following the introduction of new route
55 by TWH Bus and Coach (see below), additional services are now being
introduced.
Route L55 will operate to Lakeside on Saturdays, departing from the Bus
Station at 09:45 and Potter Street at 09:53, arriving Lakeside at 11:10. Buses
will return from Lakeside at 16:30, arriving at Potter Street at 17:36
and the Bus Station at 17:44. Simply turn up and pay on the bus. Bus L55
will serve normal route 55 stops between Harlow and Debden Broadway.
Return tickets will be priced at £10 for Adults, £6 for
students/children 5 years and over.
Route N55 will provide a later evening service along the whole 55 route
on Friday and Saturday nights. Buses will operate 4 journeys in each
direction, with the last departure back from Harlow Bus Station at 3am
on Saturday/Sunday mornings. Times will be available shortly. Please
note that special night fares will be charged.
Starting 6th October 2008
A new timetable will be introduced on Imperial
service H1. The service will in future operate between
Loughton Station and Harlow Bus Station only, no longer serving Princess
Alexandra Hospital or Edinburgh Way.
Starting 21st September 2008
The Easybus express service to London will no longer stop at Hastingwood
Garden Centre. The nearest boarding point to Harlow will now be at
Stansted Airport.
Starting 8th September 2008
New service 55 from Harlow to
Loughton and Debden
A new service will be launched
by TWH Bus and Coach Services running hourly on Mondays to Fridays.
Buses will run from Harlow to Tylers Green, North Weald, Epping (St
Margarets Hospital and High Street) Old Orleans, then in a loop in
Loughton and Debden serving Homebase, Loughton High Road, Loughton
Station, Borders Lane, Epping Forest College, Debden Broadway, and
Debden Estate before returning to Harlow. Within Harlow buses will serve
Tripton Road, Tawneys Road, Bush Fair, and Potter Street. Look out for
blue and gold
coloured buses, and for additional new services in the late evenings,
and to Lakeside on Saturdays, both coming shortly. There are no changes
to other services to the Loughton and Debden area.
Changes to service 6 and evening service 1
Route 6 will be
altered as follows.
- Within Brays Grove buses will in future serve The Phoenix,
Tumbler Road, Traceys Road, and Spinning Wheel Mead before returning to
serve all of Tumbler Road and The Phoenix again on the way back to the
Town Centre. Buses will no longer serve the main part of Tillwicks Road,
which will continue to be served by routes 500 and 501.
- Buses will no longer serve the Town Station except during the
rush hours but will continue to serve Little Parndon and the Hospital as
now.
- The evening service will continue to operate between Brays Grove
and the Town Centre, but no longer continue to Little Parndon and the
Town Station. These journeys will in future be transferred to route 1.
Route 1, which operates in the evenings between Sumners
and Katherines and the Town Centre will be extended to Little Parndon
and the Town Station, taking over from route 6 on that section in the
evenings only.
Starting 1st September 2008
The limited service 7 between Harlow
and Chelmsford provided by Regal Busways will no longer operate. Route
59 continues to provide an hourly service on Mondays to Saturdays.
Starting 18th August 2008
A revision will be made to the
express services operated between Harlow and London by Olympian
Coaches. In future 4 journeys will operate each way. Further details
will be posted shortly.
Starting 11th August 2008
A change to the timetable will be
introduced on Imperial Service H1. Passengers are advised to
re-check times of early and late buses in particular.
Starting 6th July 2008
Changes to Routes 500 and 501
Route 500 will in future run
mainly between Harlow Bus Station and Ongar on Mondays to Saturdays. The
service onto Romford will be discontinued and replaced by new Transport
for London service 375 operating between Romford and Passingford Bridge
only. As this will not connect with the shortened 500 service,
passengers from Harlow seeking to travel to Romford will need in future
to take route 501 to Brentwood and change there to service 498. Route 500 will
continue to run hourly over the remaining section. Some morning rush hour buses
will continue to extend from Harlow Bus Station to Old Harlow.
Route 501 will be extended from
Brentwood to Warley, Eagle Way. It will also generally start from Harlow
Bus Station with only morning rush hour journeys running to or from Old Harlow.
Buses 500 and 501 together provide a half-hourly link between Harlow,
Epping, North Weald, and Ongar.
Starting 30th June 2008
There will be a timetable
change on Trustline services 22/33. Buses will continue to run
every 15 minutes on each service during rush hours, but every 20 minutes
on each service at other times.
Starting 1st June 2008
There will be minor timetable alterations
to Green Line 724, with some short journeys renumbered 725 or 726.
By 26th May 2008
There will be a change to the timetable
on Trustline service 22/33. Passengers using early morning
journeys are advised to check details with the operator. The whole
service will now start at Harlow Bus Station, passengers for Harlow Town
Station will need to change to alternative services.
SM Coaches 524 service, which runs between Harlow and Herford via
Ware and Stanstead Abbots, will return to being an hourly service from
around this time.
SM Coaches town services will also have some revisions, principle details as
below.
15 - Largely as now, evening rush hour journeys no longer serving
Templefields.
19. This will now mainly operate as two separate services, one
operating from Harlow Bus Station to Church Langley via First Avenue,
but now with a rush hour service extended to the Town Station and
Templefields. The other service from Harlow Bus Station via Tripton
Road, Tumbler Road, Potter Street and Thornwood to Epping Station. Both
services will operate every 30 minutes.
M1/M31 - The service numbered M31 will in future operate via
Kingsmoor Road and Pyenest Road instead of Staple Tye. Route M1
continues unchanged. Both services will operate every 15 minutes,
providing more buses to Sumners and Katherines.
Starting 18th May 2008
Green Line 724 will no longer
serve Terminal 4 at Heathrow. The service will continue to serve the
Central Bus Station (for Terminals 1, 2 and 3) and Terminal 5.
Starting 3rd May 2008
Ipswich in one change. If you are
likely to need a cost effective way of getting there, Excel Coaches
express luxury coach X5 will be introduced to run from Stansted Airport.
The service will operate 12 times per day. Buses operate from Harlow to
Stansted Airport regularly 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Ipswich in
one convenient change.
Starting 7th April 2008
There will be changes to the Regal
Busways service which supplements the 381. Buses will be numbered 7 or
7A, and in addition to the regular morning journey into Harlow, there
will be additional return and afternoon journeys.
Starting Monday 31st March 2008
Trustline Buses C3 will have minor
timetable changes.
Starting 25th March 2008
Green Line 724 will provide better
access at Heathrow Airport. In addition to serving the central bus
station, buses will also stop at Terminal 4 and the new Terminal 5.
There will also be a minor rerouting at St Albans.
SM Coaches services will be changed as
follows.
Route 15 will continue to serve
Westfield, Brays Grove, Tumbler Road and Potter Street from the Town
Centre. It will operate in a loop between so that buses running from the
Town Centre before 3.45pm, or to the Town Centre after 3.45pm, will
operate to Potter Street directly using Second Avenue. Some buses on
Monday to Friday will be transferred to service 19, which will also now
serve Westfield, Brays Grove, Tumbler Road and Potter Street on route to
and from Epping (please see below) so that there will be still be a
service every 15 minutes. During rush hours, buses on route 15 will also serve the
Town Station and Templefields. Passengers for Pinnacles should change to
service 14 at the Town Centre. Route number 16 will not be used.
Route 19 will now operate from Church Langley, through First
Avenue and into the Town Centre, then out through Westfield, Brays
Grove, Tumbler Road and Potter Street before continuing to Thornwood and
Epping. Buses will operate every 30 minutes. During the morning rush
hours buses from Church Langley will also serve Harlow Town Station. On
Saturdays the service will operate between Church Langley and the Town
Centre only, with certain morning buses continuing to Harlow Town
Station. Buses on this route will no longer serve Sumners/Katherines
(see 1 and 31 below)
Routes 1 and 31 will continue to operate between Sumners/Katherines
and the Town Centre and now be operated by SM Coaches. At Staple Tye
buses will serve Paringdon Road near Milwards and Ployters Road. During
Monday to Friday rush hours buses will continue to Harlow Town Station
and Pinnacles. Passengers for Templefields should change to route 15 at
Harlow Town Centre. Buses on these routes will no longer serve Potter
Street and Tumbler Road.
Starting Saturday 22nd March 2008
Imperial service H1 will have a
timetable change. The general level of service will be the same, however
an altered route will be introduced in Loughton and Debden, and
buses will no longer operate on the short section between Edinburgh Way
Tesco and Old Harlow.
Starting 4th February 2008
Route 19 changes. We
believe that this route now operates in two separate sections. The
service from Epping now runs to Harlow Town Centre via Thornwood, Potter
Street and Brays Grove. It then continues to Staple Tye, Sumners and
Katherines. The Church Langley service now operates to and from the Town
Centre via First Avenue.
Starting 20th January 2008
Easybus starts a regular service
to London, operating near to Harlow
Although rush hour services operate from
various parts of Harlow to London, there is now a regular 24 hour 7 day
a week service from nearby, outside the garden centre near the
Hastingwood/M11 roundabout. This is basically a London to Stansted
Airport Service, that has a pick-up and drop-off point on the way. It
provides an £8 single fare for all passengers, although this can be
reduced by on-line early booking. If this sounds as though it could be

Starting 7th January 2008
There will be significant improvements to
route 510 which operates between Harlow Bus Station,
Sawbridgeworth, Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport. During Monday to
Saturday daytimes, buses will be improved to operate every 20 minutes.
Additionally there will be new night times journeys, so that there will
now be a continuous hourly service through the night.
Starting 5th January 2008
A new service will be introduced by
TrustLine Buses. Route 22 will operate in a circle from Harlow
Bus Station to Hare Street, Kingsmoor, Staple Tye Shopping Centre,
Stewards, Passmores and back to Harlow Bus Station. Route 33 will
operate in the opposite direction around the circle. Both routes 22 and
33 will operate every 15 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes, and
will also serve Harlow Town Station during Monday to Friday Rush Hours.
Starting 3rd January 2008.
SM Coaches route 524 which
operates between Harlow Bus Station, Stanstead Abbotts, Ware and
Hertford will be improved to operate every 30 minutes during Monday to
Saturday daytimes.
Trips to Lakeside and Bluewater for shopping or to see the
Christmas Lights in London.
Imperial route H2 will operate on
Saturdays and Sundays between 1st December and 23rd December between
Old Harlow and Lakeside & Bluewater shopping centres. It will follow the H1 route in Harlow. Just turn up
and pay on the bus.
The London Christmas Lights service will operate on Wednesday and Saturday evenings
between 1st December and 22nd December using vintage buses, again
following the H1 route in Harlow.

17th November 2007
A number of changes are taking place on route
H1:-
At Loughton and Debden, the route will operate in a circle serving
Homebase, High Road, Loughton Station, Epping Forest College, Debden
Broadway and Station, Debden Estate and back to Homebase before
returning to Harlow.
Within Harlow the Monday to Friday service will now start at Old
Harlow Post Office and serve Edinburgh Way, Harlow Town Station,
Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow Bus Station and then Potter Street.
The service will no longer serve Bush Fair. Buses will continue to
operate hourly. One new express journey will operate in the mornings
from Debden to Epping and Harlow, and will be numbered X1.
On Saturdays the service will start at Harlow Bus Station (as now)
follow the new direct route to Potter Street, but will be improved to
operate every 2 hours.
At all times, valid return tickets issued on route H1 will be accepted on
route 541 and vise-versa.
November 2007
A number of changes have taken place to the local services of SM Coaches
and Olympian Coaches. We are awaiting full details, but believe they are
as follows.
Route M1 and M31 now provide the main all day services from
Sumners and Katherines to the town centre, with route M31 extending
during morning rush hours to Town Station and Templefields. Routes M11
and M21 no longer operate. Some M31 journeys continue after Templefields
to Brays Grove and then follow route M15 back into the town centre.
Route M15 now operates from Potter Street to the Town Centre only during
the daytimes. New route 14 provides and all day link between the
town centre and town station, extending to Pinnacles during the rush
hour.
Route 19, which operates between Harlow Town Station and Epping
Station via Church Langley and North Weald will now start from Harlow
Bus Station, and also operate via Second Avenue to Church Langley, and
then more directly to Epping via Thornwood
instead of North Weald. Buses will operate every 30 minutes,
Starting 13th August 2007
Some alterations to timetables are being introduced
on Arriva services 2/3, 4, 8, 10, 333 and 505. In general there
are only minor changes.
Starting 4th August 2007
Route 524, which operates between Church Langley, Harlow and
Hertford will be shortened to operate only between Harlow and Hartford
only and reduced to operate every 60 minutes instead of every 30
minutes. Arriva route 10 and SM Coaches service 19 continue to serve
Church Langley,
Starting 30th July 2007
A new timetable will be introduced on route 541 on Mondays to
Saturdays. Buses will continue to run hourly, but will no longer run
between Loughton Station and Buckhurst Hill Station. There is no change
to the Sunday route or timetable.
Starting
14th May 2007
Route H1,
which operates from Loughton to Harlow Bus Station,
will be extended to Princess Alexandra Hospital, First Avenue, Howard Way,
and Edindurgh Way to Tesco. Buses will continue to operate hourly on
Mondays to Fridays. There will be no change to the Saturday service, which
will continue to provide 4 journeys between Loughton and Harlow Bus
station only.
29th April 2007
A number of changes will take place to the services linking
Harlow and Epping to destinations to the south. Details as follows.
Route 500.
This service will continue to operate hourly on Mondays
to Saturdays from Old Harlow to Romford, however the route will be
diverted to serve North Weald and Ongar instead of
Theydon Bois and Abridge. Additionally, the late evening service will no
longer operate. Please see route 541 for the replacement service.
Route 501.
This service will continue to operate hourly on Mondays to Saturdays
from Old Harlow to Brentwood via Ongar, so together with route 500 above,
will provide a joint half-hourly service over the Old Harlow to Ongar
section. A new Sunday service will be introduced between Harlow Bus
Station and Ongar, operating every 2 hours. This will indirectly replace
Sunday only routes 200 (Harlow to Buckhurst Hill) and 201 (Buckhurst Hill
to Ongar).
New Route 541. This service will be the main service for Theydon
Bois and Abridge. During Monday to Saturday daytimes it will start at
Epping (St Margarets Hospital) and run hourly via Ivy Chimneys, Theydon
Bois, Abridge and Debden to Loughton Station and Buckhurst Hill. During
the evenings it will start at Harlow Bus Station, replacing route 500 as
far as Abridge. On Sundays the service will also Start at Harlow Bus Station
and will operate every two hours as far as Loughton, indirectly replacing
route 203. A joint hourly service will operate on routes 501 and 541 on
Sundays between Harlow Bus Station and Epping.
Sunday routes 200, 201 and 203 will be discontinued and replaced by
introduction of routes 501 and 541 on that day.
16th March 2007
SM Coaches
Route 524,
presently operating from Hertford to Harlow Bus
Station, will be extended to Church Langley via First Avenue. The service
will continue to operate every 30 minutes on Mondays to Saturdays. Please
note that there will be no change to Arriva route 10, or to SM Coaches
route 19.

regarding the ZIP1 operating between Harlow Town Centre
and Milwards.
17th March 2007
We believe that two services have now been discontinued. These are:-
M9 - Harlow Town Centre to Church
Langley via Templefields and Old Harlow. Please note that routes 10
and 19 continue to provide most connections previously provided by these
routes, although no service will operate outside of rush hours to
Templefields.
600 - Bishops Stortford to Lakeside via Harlow. Passengers for
Lakeside are advised to take service 500 to Romford and change to route
370.
5th March 2007
Route 392
will operate between Rye Park and Harlow Bus and Town
Stations only, following the existing route through Hoddesdon, Broxbourne,
Nazeing, Broadley Common and Paringdon Road. The service onto Edinburgh
Way and Old Harlow, or to Ware and Hertford will no longer operate. Please
see Network Maps page for alternative services. The service will also be
operated by Stansted Transit from this date using white single deck
buses.
An additional return journey will be operated in each
direction on
Route 347. Times for the morning journey will also be altered. Full
details are now updated on this site.
5th February 2007
SM Coaches are operating new service 19
from Harlow Town and Bus Stations to First Avenue, Mark Hall School, New
Hall, Church Langley, Potter Street then serving North Weald and Epping,
St Margarets Hospital, Hight Street and Station. Buses operate all day,
approximately every 45 minutes.
Excel route 333 will be altered. The service will in
future only serve Epping during rush hours. At other times, buses will
start at Princess Alexdandra Hospital and operate to Sawbridgeworth and
Bishops Stortford before diverting to Stansted Airport. Buses will also no
longer serve Old Harlow. Passengers for Stansted Mountfitchet should
change at Bishops Stortford to service 301, or at Stansted Airport to
Village Link 7.
15th January 2007
A minor change of route will take place on the 6 in the
Stow area. During daytimes, buses will in future operate via the full
length of Howard Way between First Avenue and second Avenue, and no longer
serve Momples Road, which will continue to be served by route 8. Evening
buses will continue unchanged. The same level of service will be provided,
but times will be altered on most journeys.
2nd January 2007
SM Coaches
route 524 will be altered
to operate every 30 minutes on Monday to Saturdays between Harlow,
Stanstead Abbotts, Ware and Hertford. The existing once daily service to
Stevenage will be discontinued. Please note that there is no change to
existing services 392, 724 and C3.
Changes will also be made to SM coaches route SM19 - details
are not yet available.
2nd October 2006
Olympian Coaches service M7/M8
will be discontinued. An alternative service M9 will cover part of
the route, running from the Town Centre to Sainsbury's, First Avenue,
Howard Way, Queensgate Centre, Edinburgh Way, Templefields, Old Harlow
Post Office and Church Langley (Tesco).
Route 392
will be extended at both ends. The service will now continue from
Harlow Town Station to Queensgate, Templefields and Old Harlow, operating
all day Mondays to Saturdays. From Rye Park, the service will now extend
to Hundred Acre, St Margarets, Ware and Hertford. The single journey on
route 393 serving Roydon will be replaced by an additional 392 journey.
Changes to Green Line 724
A revised route and timetable will be introduced from
3rd September 2006. The service will continue to operate hourly from
Harlow to Heathrow Airport, but take a more direct route between Harlow
and Hertford and between Hertford and Hatfield. This will improve journey
times to most destinations, but will mean that the route will no longer
serve Stanstead Abbotts and St Margarets Station (served by route C3) or
Hertingfordbury and Birch Green.
Changes to operators
Starting Sunday 27th August 2006, passengers
should be aware that some services operated for Essex County Council will
look slightly different. Details of routes changing operator are as
follows.
Routes 381/2, Harlow to Epping Green Coopersale and Toothill will
be operated by Arriva. The first journey into Harlow will continue
(arriving 07:38) will continue to be operated by Regal Busways, and will
be numbered 502.
Sunday Harlow town services 4, 10, 11, and 12 will be operated by
Arriva.
Sunday routes 200, 201 and 203 will be operated by Arriva.
School service 322 (Old Harlow to Saffron Walden) will be operated
by Excel
Rural services 47, 146 and 147 will be operated by Excel
Services 302 (Saffron Walden to Harlow) and 506
(Harlow to Waltham Cross) will be discontinued.
Route M15/6 to serve Tendring Road
This service, which operates from Harlow Town Station
to Potter Street will now serve Tripton Road and Tendring Road between
Second Avenue and Brays Grove (The Phoenix). This will provide a closer
service for Church Leys and Waterhouse Moor. The service remains otherwise
unchanged.
Improved Saturday Service on route 59
From 29th July 2006, the Saturday service on route 59 will run every hour, basically to the same
times as the existing Monday to Friday service, except that the first
journey from Chelmsford will be at 06:40.
Timetable change on route 724
There were some minor changes to times on
route 724 from 1st July 2006 mainly related to late journeys
towards Harlow. All times on this site are now updated
Improvements to Metro 10
Starting 5th June 2006, route 10, operating
between Harlow Town Station and Church Langley, will be improved to operate every 12-15
from early in the morning until late afternoon. The later service, including
the recently improved evening service, will continue at the same frequency
as now.
Change to Route C3
Also
starting 5th June 2006, route C3 will operate a
revised timetable between Harlow and Waltham Cross (Holdbrook Estate) via
Hoddedon and Brookfield Centre. The service will no longer operate onto
Waltham Abbey and Upshire. Passengers for these destinatiaons should use the
more direct service provided on route 505 to Waltham Abbey, and change to
routes 213 or 251 for Upshire.
Summer Sundays out - something different!
For a limited number of Sundays in 2006, starting 7th
May 2006, service
622 will operate using Vintage double deck buses. The service will operate
between Harlow and Braintree serving Sheering, Hatfield Heath, Hatfield
Broad Oak, Little Dunmow, Great Dunmow, Felsted and Rayne. Buses will
operate 6 times per day, but on certain days only. Please

Changes to route 524
Passengers are advised that this service will be
discontinued after 25th March 2006, although a limited number of school
day journeys will continue to be operated by SM Coaches from 12th April.
Passengers for destinations from Harlow to Hertford North Station should
use route 724. Passengers for destinations between Hertford and Stevenage
should change to connecting bus services at Hertford Bus Station or rail
services at Hertford North Station.
13th February 2006
Night services improved (updated 12th March
2006)
Route 1 (Sumners & Katherines)
improved to operate every 30 minutes during the evening on Mondays to
Saturdays. Last bus back from town now 23:51
Routes 2 and 3 (Staple Tye) continue to provide an hourly service on each,
at slightly altered times, and with an additional late journey on each.
Last buses back from Town Centre now at 23:02 (route 3) or 23:32 (route
2). Last bus back from Town Station on these services is at 22:59 (route
3).
Route 4 (Bush Fair & Latton Bush) improved to operate every 30 minutes
during the evening on Mondays to Saturdays. Last bus back from town now
23:47
Route 6 improved to operate every 30 minutes during the evening on Mondays
to Saturdays. Last bus back from town now 23:35 (Bush Fair & Latton
Bush) or 23:34 (Little Parndon). Last bus from Station to Town Centre now
at 23:44.
Route 8 (Netteswell & Mark Hall South). Hourly service continued with
an additional last bus back from town at 23:50 on Mondays to Saturdays
Route 10 (Church Langley) improved to operate every 30
minutes during the evening on Mondays to Saturdays. Last bus back from
town now 23:57.
Evening fares (after 7pm) are now only £1 single. Timetables are now
being updated on this site.
Routes 5 and 6
combined
Route 5, running between Pinnacles, Little Parndon and Harlow Bus and Rail
Stations will now be numbered 6, as these two routes run over much of the same
roads. Most journeys will continue to operate over one section only, as
follows.

A new timetable has now been introduced on
routes
C3 operating between Harlow,
Brookfield Centre, Waltham Cross and Upshire. Please note that route C2 no
longer
serves Harlow, and that all journeys
to and from Harlow are now numbered C3. The same level of service
continues to be provided, being basically hourly on Mondays to
Saturdays.
Recent service changes
A major round of alterations to local
services has taken effect over the Christmas and New Year period, details
below.
1/1A - The main Arriva service will be withdrawn after 24th December. Passengers for Sumners
and Katherines should use the alternative services provided by Olympian
Coaches, which will now be numbered M1/M11/M21/M31. The Monday to Saturday
evening hourly service will continue to operate.
2/3 - A revised timetable will be introduced from 28th December.
5 - The main service to Potter Street will be withdrawn after 24th
December. Improvements will
be made to SM Coaches services in part compensation (see M15/M16). Early

hour and evening buses will continue to operate and serve Pinnacles
(Monday to Friday rush hours only), Little Parndon,
Harlow Town Station and Harlow Bus Station (Monday to Saturday).
B6 - This service will be renumbered to 6 from 28th December, and extended to serve Harlow
Town Station, Little Parndon and Princess Alexandra Hospital, replacing
route 5 over this section. Within Brays Grove buses will serve Tillwicks
Road instead of Tumbler Road (see M15/M16). Buses will run every 30 minutes during the
daytime.
10 - There will be minor changes to the timetable on this service from
28th December.
M1/M11/M21/M31 - New numbers for the main Olympian Coaches services to
Sumners and Katherines, providing the same basic frequency and service
pattern as existing R1/R11/R21 services. In general there will be buses
every 10 minutes to the Town Centre, with rush hour links to Harlow Town
Station, Templefields and Pinnacles. Route M31 will provide two journeys
per hour operating to Katherines before Sumners during daytimes.
M7/8 - These services will provide a daytime (off-peak) service between
Harlow Bus Station, Harlow Town Station, Queensgate, Edinburgh Way, Old
Harlow, Harlowbury, Mark Hall South, The Stow and Harlow Bus Station. Each
will operate hourly on Mondays to Fridays, M7 in the direction above, M8 in the reverse
direction.
M15/6 - New numbers for the main service to Brays Grove, Tumbler Road and
Potter Street, replacing routes 5 and T15. This service will be operated
by SM coaches every 10 minutes to the town centre with rush hour
extensions to Pinnacles (M15) or Templefields (M16).
R1/R11/R21 - These services will be renumbered M1/M11/M21/M31 but
otherwise follow the same basic pattern and frequency.
R2/R3 - These services will be discontinued. Passengers should use Arriva
services 2 and 3
T10 - This service will be withdrawn after 24th December. Passengers for Church Langley should
use Arriva service 10, passengers for Templefields should use services M21 or M16.
T15 - This service will be renumbered M15, and improved to operate every
10 minutes. Certain journeys will serve Templefields, and be numbered M16.
The new service begins on 3rd January 2006.

This service will no longer operate the
small section of route between Harlow Bus Station and Princess Alexandra
Hospital. There will also be a revised routing in Bishops Stortford. Full

This service, which provides one
commuter journey to and from London, will no longer operate. Passengers
are advised to use Olympian Coaches commuter services 741 and 742.

Roydon Hamlet service renumbered 391
The once daily service between Harlow and
Bumbles Green via Roydon Hamlet, presently using service number 1, will in
future be numbered 391. This will avoid confusion will other services.

One journey in each direction
will on future serve St Marks School in Tripton Road. Times will be shown
shortly. Additionally, a later journey from Church Langley back to Harlow,
at 23:11, will also be introduced.

An additional journey will be added

Route 524 - A revised timetable will
be introduced on this service which operates between Harlow, Hertford and
Stevenage. Within Stevenage buses will in future serve Bragbury End and
Broadwater (Roebuck Centre). Additionally, some rush hour journeys will
serve Gunnels Wood Road and Stevenage Rail Station. New timetable details
will be available on this site from 16th June.

Route C4 to be replaced by routes
C2 and C3
Route C4, which operates between Harlow and the Brookfield Centre in
Cheshunt, will be merged with Cheshunt local services C2 & C3 which
operate from Brookfield Centre to Waltham Cross. This will provide one
through service, providing an all day direct service between Harlow, Stansted Abbots, Hoddesdon, Broxbourne,
The Brookfield Centre, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross and onto Upshire. The new combined service will use the numbers C2 and C3, and will
be operated by TrustLine using red buses. Timetable details and will be advised shortly.

Changes to Arriva services are
being introduced, as shown below.
1 and 1A - These new routes will replace route B1. Please see below
for details.
2/3 - Frequency improved to operate every 10 minutes on each route
during to Monday to Friday daytimes. Buses will continue to run every 15
minutes during rush hours, and hourly during the evenings. On Saturdays
buses will run every 15 minutes during the morning, every 20 minutes
during the afternoon, and hourly during the evenings.
4 - No change to the basic service. On Saturdays buses will run
every 15 minutes during the morning, every 20 minutes during the
afternoon, and hourly during the evenings.
5 - Some minor changes will be made to the timetable. The same basic
level of service will be provided.
7 - Buses will no longer serve Helions Road in Hare Street, running
instead the full length of Harberts Road.
8 - A new hourly evening service will be introduced over the whole route,
including the Old Harlow and Harlowbury areas.
The main service will continue to run every 15 minutes at all other times,
except on Saturday afternoons, which will be every 20 minutes.
10 - A new timetable will be introduced at the existing
frequency.
505 - This route will be no longer operate between Old Harlow and Mark
Hall North. Buses will in future run from Mark Hall North to Chingford
Station, but will be diverted to also serve Lower Nazeing Cross
Roads.
510 - The evening service which operates through Momples Road and Maddox
Road will in future operate directly via First Avenue. Please see route 8
for the replacement service.
724 - The 21:30 departure from Harlow to Hatfield will no longer operate.
One early morning journey will in future be numbered 725.
B1 - This service will be altered as follows
- Renumbered 1
- Improved to operate mainly every 10 minutes during Monday to
Friday daytimes.
- During rush hours, the buses which continue to Harlow Town Station
will be extended to Pinnacles and renumbered 1A.
- An hourly evening service will be introduced.
B6 - Some minor changes will be made to the

Changes to SM Coaches routes T6,
T10, T15.
T6 - This service now operates between Harlow Town Station, Harlow Bus
Station, The Stow, Brays Grove and Latton Bush (Pear Tree Mead). Buses now
run every 20 minutes throughout the day on Monday to Saturdays. During the
morning rush hour, buses also serve Edinburgh Way (Queensgate and
Templefields). Church Langley is no longer served by this service.
T10 - Now improved to run every 15 minutes during the daytime.
T15 - Rush hour service standardised to serve Pinnacles every 20 minutes
(no longer serves Templefields). Daytime journeys to Harlow Town Station
introduced every hour.
More new buses, this
time for
route 59. Again,
they will be low-floor, but of a smaller design than those for the 510
below, reflecting the rural nature of the service, but still providing
improved standards of comfort and ride quality as well as easy access.
6th December 2004
Arriva will be
introducing brand new buses onto route
510. These will be the latest
low-floor buses, allowing step free entrance for wheelchairs, prams and
shopping trolleys, and also providing a generally improved ride and
environment.
A new timetable will be introduced on Excel
route 333. Buses will continue to
run generally at the same frequency as now, however the Saturday service
will in future run between Harlow and Stansted, and not serve the section
between Harlow and Epping via Pinnacles. Additionally, the section within
Harlow serving the Pinnacles will only now operate during rush hours.
Please note that the Monday to Friday service will continue to run between
Epping and Stansted, and also that there is no change to Arriva route 333
between Bishops Stortford (Heath Row) and Harlow (Princess Alexandra
Hospital).

the service will operatye direct between the Post Office and the Green Man
and no longer serve Harlowbury (The Hoo, Priory Avenue). Regular
alternative services now run
on route 8. Times are now updated on this site.
Route 47/147 to serve Magdalen Laver. These
existing services which provide a once a day service to villages to the
east of Harlow from Tuesday to Saturday, will be diverted to additionally
serve Magdalen Laver. Buses will leave the village at 10:15 am, arriving
in Harlow at 10:47. the return service will leave Harlow at 13:35.
Departures from some other points will now be a few minutes later than
previously.

Route R1 will continue to link Sumners and Katherines with the town
centre, continuing during rush hours to Harlow Town Station. Buses will
generally operate every 10 minutes during daytimes. During the morning
rush hour, those journeys continuing to Harlow Town Station and Edinburgh
Way will be numbered R21
Routes R11 will continue as today, to revised times, and also
serving Harlow Town Station.
Routes R21 will continue largely as now during rush hours, with additional morning
journeys, as mentioned above. The daytime service to Queensgate, Edinburgh
Way and Templefields will be replaced by services R7 and R8 (see below)
Route R31 will no longer operate, replaced by the more frequent
service on route R1

Route R2 will continue to operate between the Staple Tye area and
the Town centre, continuing during rush hours to the Town Station and
Pinnacles Industrial Area. Buses will no longer operate to Mark Hall South

Princess Alexandra Hospital. Buses will continue to operate every 30

Route B6 will be revised to serve the Bus Station and Sainsbury's
in both directions.

Route 396

IMPROVEMENTS TO METRO 8
Starting 15th March 2004,
route 8 will be improved to operate every 15 minutes. The service will
also be extended within Old Harlow to serve The Green Man, Old Road and
Priory Avenue (as per route 505).
CHANGES TO ROUTE 410
Starting 1st March 2004,
route 410 will operate only on Monday to Friday Schooldays, with the
main service operating between Harlow Town Centre and Old Harlow Post
Office only. Passengers for Sawbridgeworth, Bishops Stortford and Stansted
Airport should use the regular alternative services provided by routes 333
and 510. Passengers for Takeley should change at Bishops Stortford to
Village Link 5.
CHANGES TO OLYMPIAN TOWN SERVICES
Starting 23rd February 2004 routes R2 and R3 are being expanded.
The main service around the Staple Tye area will continue, but buses
will in future run on to connect with Old Harlow. During rush hours buses
will serve the Town Station as now, then Edinburgh Way (Templefields) and
Old Harlow Post Office. During the daytimes, buses will continue on from
the Bus Station to serve Netteswell (Maddox Road) Mark Hall South (Momples
Road) and Old Harlow Post Office. Buses will generally operate every 10
minutes. In addition, a bus every 30 minutes will extend to Old Road,
Priory Avenue, The Green Man and onto Churchgate Street. Full details of
times will be provided shortly.
Also from 23rd February, Route R4 will no longer operate.
LAKESIDE SERVICE TO CONTINUE ON SATURDAYS
After
21st
February route 600 will provide a direct service to Lakeside on
Saturdays. Buses will start at Bishops Stortford
serving Sawbridgeworth, Old Harlow, First Avenue, Staple Tye, and Potter
Street before running non-stop to Lakeside. Buses will leave Harlow Bus
Station at 9.30 and midday (Old Harlow 13 minutes earlier,
Potter Street 13 minutes later) returning from Lakeside at 14:25 and
17.25. The
weekday service, introduced for Christmas, will
no longer operate.
IMPROVED SERVICE FOR HUNSDON
Starting 2nd February route C4 will
be altered to serve Hunsdon, providing a regular service on Mondays to
Saturdays. Some times are slightly revised, most details are now
updated.
IMPROVED SERVICE ON METRO 4
Starting 12th January 2004, Arriva Metro 4, will be improved to operate
every 6 minutes during Monday to Friday daytimes between Latton Bush and
the Town Centre. The rush hour service, including journeys to the Town
Station and to Pinnacles, and the Saturday service, will remain as now.
LOCAL ROUTE 6 TO BE DISCONTINUED
After 10th
January 2004, Arriva local service 6 between Potter Street and the
Town Centre will be discontinued. Regular alternative services operate.

Starting 17th November,
Olympian Coaches will be operating new service R4 between Harlow Bus
Station and Latton Bush via Bush Fair. Buses will operate every 10 minutes
between 9am and 6pm on Mondays to Fridays. There will be no change to
existing services in the area.
NEW DIRECT SERVICE TO LAKESIDE
Starting 8th November,
Olympian Coaches will provide a direct connection to Lakeside Shopping
Centre from the Harlow area. Route 600 will start at Bishops Stortford
serving Sawbridgeworth, Old Harlow, First Avenue, Staple Tye, and Potter
Street before running non-stop to Lakeside. Buses will leave Harlow Bus
Station at 9.30 on Mondays to Saturdays (Old Harlow 13 minutes earlier,
Potter Street 13 minutes later) returning from Lakeside at 14:25. On
Saturdays there will be an additional service from Harlow at midday, and
an additional return journey at 17:25. The return fare will be just £4.
Starting 1st November 2003.
Route H1,
which currently operates between Harlow and
Buckhurst Hill, will be revised to terminate at Loughton Station on Monday
to Saturday. Times are otherwise unchanged. Passengers for Buckhurst Hill
should change to buses 167 or 549 at Loughton.

Route 59.
There will be a minor change to the Saturday timetable -
one late afternoon journey between Harlow and Hatfield Broad Oak will be
discontinued. Deatils are now updated on this site.
Route 210 between Harlow and
Sawbrigdeworth (Bullfields) via Mark Hall South will be discontinued after
service on 29th August. Arriva route 8 will continue to serve Maddox Road,
Minchen Road, Momples Road and Old Harlow. Routes 333, 410 and 510 provide
regular alternatives to Old Harlow and Sawbridgeworth (London
Road/Cambridge Road) direct via First Avenue.
Route 505
will be
altered at Chingford and Old Harlow. At Chingford buses will in future operate via the full length of
Sewardstone Road and then serve Kings Head Hill and the station, where
buses will teminate. At Old Harlow buses will continue to serve the
existing roads, but operate a one-way loop via the Post Office, Wayre
Road, Green Man, Old Road, Priory Avenue, Station Road and the Post Office
before returning to Harlow town centre and onto Chingford.
Passengers for parts of Chingford and Walthamstow no longer served should change to local London Buses services.

services. The Monday to Friday service on route

link on Mondays to Saturdays to The Pinnacles.
Most times of the new services are updated, except where stated
otherwise.

and the town, with alternate buses continuing to Templefields.
SM Coaches
route T6
runs from the Town Centre via Maddox Road, Minchen Road and The Stow
before returning to the Town Centre. During rush hours buses additionally
serve the Town Station and Pinnacles.

operators are making every effort to provide a replacement service at
short notice and services may be delayed initially. Your patience and

Starting 15th March 2003
Arriva will be making changes to
Metro 10 and 10A.
Buses will continue to run between Church Langley, Harlow Town Centre
and Harlow Town Station, however the existing 10A buses that operate
during rush hours through Edinburgh Way (Templefields), Old Harlow, and
Nortel will no longer operate. All buses will instead operate as service
10 to the standard route to a revised timetable at the same level of
service. This change will assist in improving timekeeping
and reliability. New timetable

Alternative services B1, T10 and T15 will continue to
serve Edinburgh Way from Harlow Town Centre and station. Route T10 will
additionally provide a direct service from Church Langley.

Changes to Olympian Coaches services in the
Staple Tye area.
Existing services OC2 & OC3
have been replaced by new RoadRunner routes R2 & R3. These services
will run from the bus station in a circle via Abercrombie Way, Passmores,
Stewards, Staple Tye Shopping Centre, Ployters Road, Kingsmoor and return
to the town centre. During rush hours buses will operate to the Town
Station and Pinnacles. Both services will operate every 20 minutes during
the daytime and every 30 minutes during rush hours.
Park & Ride at Christmas - low floor - low fare!
In the lead up to Christmas, a park and ride service will be operated between the town
centre and nearby Burnt Mill School, just off First Avenue. Buses will operate
every 10 minutes during shopping hours on every Saturday from 23rd
November until Christmas, and also on Sundays 24th November, 1st December
and 22nd December. The fare is just 50p return for adults (free for under
14's) and buses will be low floor to give easy access for buggies,
trolleys, and wheelchair accessibility.

Saturday service for route 381. Regal
Busways, in association with Essex County Council, will be introducing
three journeys between Harlow, Roydon, Epping Green, Epping and Coopersale,
with two journeys continuing to Toothill. Details of times can be found by

LocalLink will be introducing a Christmas
shoppers service on Saturdays from Bishops Stortford and Harlow direct to
Lakeside and Bluewater. New
route 701 will leave Harlow
Bus Station at 9.30 and 11.30, serving Bush Fair and Potter Street a few
minutes later. Return times are 3pm and 5pm from Bluewater and 3.30pm and
5.30pm from Lakeside. Buses will operate each Saturday until
mid-January.

Staple Tye and the surrounding area will be improved to provide a bus
every 15 minutes on each service during most of Monday to Friday daytimes

Sawbridgeworth rather than serving Bishops Stortford (see new route 410).
Buses will continue to operate via Maddox Road and Momples Road and will
be improved to run hourly.
New Route 410
will run hourly on Mondays to Saturdays
between Harlow Bus Station and Bishops Stortford. Buses will operate
direct via First Avenue, then serve Old Harlow, Sawbridgeworth and
Spellbrook.

Sawbridgeworth, Arriva, in conjunction with Hertfordshire County Council,
are introducing brand new minibus services. These will connect many of the
residential areas with the town centre and station. For further details, please see

introduced on Milwards local service ZIP1.
Buses will now run every 20 minutes between Harlow Town Centre, Staple Tye
and Milwards, running every 20 minutes from approximately 8.20am until

Town Station and the Saturday service will no longer operate. New

Starting 22nd June 2002
Service improvements will be provided to Netteswell
and Mark Hall South. Faster journeys will be available to and from
Sawbridgeworth, Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport. Details as
follows.
New route 8 will operate between Harlow Bus Station and Old
Harlow, following existing route 510, but operating every 20 minutes on
Monday to Saturday daytimes.
Route 510 will operate direct via First Avenue between Harlow and
Old Harlow, improving journey times to all destinations beyond.
Please note that during the evenings buses on route 510 will continue to
follow the existing routing as new route 8 will not operate at these
times. Timetable details will be available from 21st June..

(Latton Bush, Bush Fair & Harlow), with buses running every 7-8
minutes during the daytime. In addition, those journeys which are
presently numbered 4A will use the main number 4.

Changes to operators and timetables from Easter
weekend (updated 7/4/02)
A number of services which are operated on behalf of
Essex County Council had a change of operator, and some times have changed
also. All details on this site are now updated..
Route 1* (Harlow to Bumbles Green) will be operated by Arriva to the
existing timetable.
Routes 47, 146*, 147, 347, 348, will be operated by LocalLink Buses to
the existing timetables.
Route 354 will be operated by London Transit on Monday to Fridays (there
is no change to the Saturday service provided by Myalls)
Routes 381 and 382 will be operated by Regal Busways to the existing
timetable.
Routes 392 and 393 will be operated by TrustLine to the existing
timetable.
The Sunday service on routes 200 and 500 will be operated by LocalLink
Buses (please note that there is no change to the main Monday to Saturday
service provided by Arriva). There will be an earlier service toward
Romford and later return journeys from Romford.
In addition new route 210 will be provided by LocalLink buses. The service
will operate from Harlow Bus Station to Bishops Stortford via The Stow,
Old Harlow and Sawbridgeworth. Buses will run approximately every 90
minutes on Monday to Saturdays.

New timetables were introduced on SM Coaches S20
and T15 services. There will be no change to the general level of
service provided, although passengers for Pinnacles and Templefields
should check on the relevant LOCAL POINTS pages for details of revised
times. Route T15 will continue to serve the Town Station during rush
hours, otherwise buses will operate to the Town Centre (Bus Station) only.

A number of changes will take effect from 22nd
December 2001. Timetable
information on this site is being updated gradually, please check the
effective or last update date at the top of the relevant page.
5 - This service
will continue to run between Potter Street and Little Parndon at basically
the same frequency. Most journeys between 9am and 3.30pm
will be extended from Little Parndon to Princess Alexandra Hospital. Some
early morning and early evening buses will now be operated by Locallink
buses.
7 - This new
service will operate from Churchgate Street and run through Old Harlow,
First Avenue, Harlow Bus Station, Great Parndon (Three Horseshoes Road)
and Kingsmoor to Sumners Farm. The service will
operate every hour on Monday to Saturdays between approximately 9am and
6pm, and will replace this section on service 392. Please note that the
service will operate the full length of First Avenue and not serve Queens
Gate or Harlow Town Station.
392 -
This service will now operate between Harlow Town Station and Hoddesdon
(Rye Park) and be operated by First in place of Arriva. The routing in
Harlow will be through the Bus Station then Bush Fair, Commonside Road and
Paringdon Road, replacing route B4 along this section. One journey will be
renumbered 393 and serve Roydon Hamlet instead of Bumbles Green. New route 7 (above)
will replace the section within Harlow from Kingsmoor and Great Parndon
to Churchgate Street.
502 - This
Arriva service is being discontinued to ensure that a full and reliable
service can be operated on other Arriva routes during the present driver shortages. Alternative connections to most places are
provided by hourly route 500. Passengers for the Loughton and Debden area should
use improved service H1. A limited new service from the Loughton area to
Romford, numbered 202, will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
(Romford market days). This service will be operated by Trustline.
B1 - The
Saturday service will be improved to run every 10 minutes on the section
between between Harlow Town Centre and Sumners/Katherines.
B4 - This
service will be discontinued. Route 392/3 will provide a replacement service
along Commonside Road, whilst new Arriva route 7 will provide a service to
Sumners Farm.
H1 - A new
timetable is being introduced on this service to provide an earlier and
later service on Mondays to Fridays. In addition, a Saturday service is
being introduced with four return journeys spread through the day. To
assist reliability, buses will now run directly from Tumbler Road to the
Bus Station, and no longer serve Maddox Road or Princess Alexandra
Hospital. .

A new service had been started by Olympian Coaches. Route OC2
operates from Harlow Bus Station directly to Staple Tye Shopping Centre
and the Salvation Army via Abercrombie Way. White minibuses operate the
service which runs every 15 minutes between approximately 9am and 3pm, and
from 4.30pm to 6pm.
Metro 4
(from Sunday 2nd September)
This route will be introduced on Sundays, running every hour. On this
day only buses will run via Howard Way and First Avenue, and in addition
will start from (but not run to) Little Parndon. The Sunday service will be
run by Clintona using blue and white minibuses. This service will replace
existing Sunday service 854. There is no change to the weekday service on
route 4.
Metro 10
(from Sunday 2nd September)
This route will be introduced on Sundays, running every hour. The Sunday
service will be run by Clintona using blue and white minibuses. This service
will replace the link between Church Langley and Harlow Town presently
provided by Sunday service 851. There is no change to the weekday service on
route 10.
New Sunday route 11 (from
Sunday 2nd September)
Will operate every hour from Sumners and Katherines to Harlow Bus and Town
stations. Buses will continue to (but not start from) Little Parndon. Route
11 will be operated by Clintona using blue and white minibuses. This service
will replace the link between Sumners/Katherines and Harlow Town presently
provided by Sunday service 851.
New Sunday route 12 (from Sunday 2nd September)
Will run every hour from Old Harlow to Templefields and Harlow Town, then run in a
circle through Hare Street, Passmores, Stewards, Staple Tye, and Kingsmoor, then return to
Hare Street, Harlow Town, Templefields and Old Harlow. Route 12 will be
operated by Clintona using blue and white minibuses. This service will
replace the link between the Staple Tye area and Harlow Town presently
provided by Sunday services 852 and 853. Note that this route will only
operate in one direction through Passmores, Stewards, Staple Tye, and
Kingsmoor. This service will also replace the link between Old Harlow,
Edinburgh Way and Harlow Town presently provided by Sunday service 851.
Sundays routes 851, 852, 853 and 854
Will no longer run and be replaced by the changes to routes 4 and 10, and by
new Sunday routes 11 and 12.
New Monday to Friday route H1 (from Monday 3rd September)
Will run from Harlow to North Weald, Epping, Debden and Loughton. Within
Harlow buses will start on Fourth Avenue near Princess Alexandra Hospital,
and then run via the bus station, Maddox Road, Tumbler Road and Potter
Street. The service will run hourly during the daytime. Route H1 will be
operated by Imperial using green double deck buses.
New Monday to Saturday route SM20 (from Monday 3rd September)
Will run from Sumners and Katherines to Harlow bus station via Staple Tye,
Passmores, St
Marks School, and Bush Fair. The main service will run every 15 minutes
during monday to Saturday daytime. Certain Monday to Friday rush hour journeys will continue
to either Pinnacles, Templefields, or Burnt Mill and Mark Hall Schools.
Route SM20 will be operated by SM Travel using red double deck buses.
SM Travel route T15 (from Saturday 1st September)
Will be simplified to run between Potter Street and Harlow bus and train
stations. Buses will continue to run every 15 minutes with certain rush hour journeys
on Mondays to Fridays continuing to run to Pinnacles or Templefields.
Little Parndon, Princess Alexandra Hospital, The Stow and Church Langley
will no longer be served.
In order to improve timekeeping and reliability on METRO 10 and 10A, buses will
no longer serve the stop immediately outside Church Langley Tesco. The nearest stop will
be the first stop in Church Langley Way which is easily accessible from the store, or
alternatively, the last stop in Kiln Lane. Times are otherwise unchanged.
Routes 59 and 349 combined into one service numbered 59. The present route 349 journeys to
Hatfield Broad Oak, and the peak hour service to Templefields now operate under the 59
number. Most journeys remain at the same times, there are however some minor variations.
Times for Buzz services in the town were altered to improve
reliability. The frequency to Katherines on Saturdays altered from every 10 minutes to
every 15 minutes. The weekday service to Templefields is now on service B1 rather than
B31.
A minor change on route
724. The Monday to Friday 06:00 journey from Harlow
re-timed to leave 10 minutes earlier at 05:50. This is to allow the bus sufficient
time to complete the journey.
Some minor alterations to the timetables on routes 4,5, 501, 502 and 510.
In general only a few journeys are affected, and will involve them leaving slightly
earlier than at present, to allow sufficient time for the journey to be completed on time.
A new operator, Imperial of Rainham, took over the
Sunday service on Routes 200 and 500. The 500 at Romford now starts at Romford Market (St Edwards Way) and no
longer serves the section of route between there and Romford Station. Times are basically
the same and the main Monday to Saturday service by Arriva remained unchanged.
Town Routes 851-4 passed from First Eastern National to Clintona Minicoaches without any
change to the timetable.
T15 change
Passengers making journeys on route T15 from Church Langley
should note that after 9am buses now leave directly to the A414 from Tesco, and no longer
serve Church Langley Way, Lane End and Kiln Lane.
Buses on Route 59 will be better spread through the day to reduce some of the longer gaps
in the service. Arriva Colchester gain two Journeys to Harlow and One from on Mondays to
Fridays, one one each way on Saturdays.
Metro 2 & 3 (Staple Tye Circular)
All day frequency on both routes now every 20 minutes (the same as the present rush hour
service, which is unchanged).
Metro 4 (Latton Bush)
Daytime and Saturday frequency now every 12 minutes (rush hour service continues every 10
minutes as now).
Metro 5 (Potter Street & Little Parndon)
Daytime and Saturday frequency now every 30 minutes with all buses operating the full
route. (rush hour service continues every 20 minutes and extending to Pinnacles as now).
Route 392
Journey from Churchgate Street to Harlow at 08:15 discontinued. See near alternatives from
Old Harlow (Green Man).
Route 503 (Harlow to Loughton)
Service discontinued. Route 502 provides an equivalent service from Harlow to Debden.
Route 505
Daytime service to be every hour from Old Harlow to Walthamstow, the additional short
journeys within Harlow discontinued.
392 -
Diverted at Hoddesdon to Hundred Acre Estate (withdrawn from Hertford) with additional
hourly frequency Hoddesdon to Hundred Acre. Improved service to Churchgate Street
during peak hours (now basically hourly all day).
505 -
Additional frequency (now half-hourly) between Old Harlow (Green Man) and Staple Tye
(Brookside roundabout).
503 - New Route
(Mon-Sat daytime, hourly) Harlow Bus Station to Debden via 502, then via 250 to Loughton
Station.
333 - New
timetable with most journeys now operating to Stansted (hourly instead of 4-6 journeys).
Extended in Stansted from Maitland Road to Third Avenue.
505 - Sunday
service withdrawn
New route 522
will link Harlow with the Market serving Staple Tye, Southern Way, and Potter Street.
Passengers will be able to use the route for all local connections and not just for travel
to the market. This represents a change from previous arrangements on special
services 005 and 006, which will no longer run. A fare will now be charged, but this will
be kept especially low at £1 single or £1.50 return. For details of times, please
see the "from" or "to" link from the CONNECTIONS page.
A new timetable has been introduced on Route 381 providing more journeys to
Roydon, Epping Green, Coopersale and Toot Hill. Please choose the "from" or
"to" link from the CONNECTIONS page for details. The journey via Coronation
Hill in Epping is renumbered 382.
A Sunday service is being introduced this summer on Route 505 for the first
time. This will provide direct bus links to many places previously unavailable on
this day including Walthamstow, Chingford, Waltham Abbey, Bumbles Green and Broadley
Common. Details on this site have now been updated. The Sunday service will operate until
3rd September.
A number of daytime journeys on Route T15 have been diverted
to serve the Hospital, providing a direct link from Church Langley, Potter Street,
Brays Grove and Little Parndon
Sunday service changes saw Route
510 introduced on an hourly headway, replacing the
two two-hourly Sunday only routes, 504 and 512. Connections onward from
Bishops Stortford are now made onto new route 302, running from St Michaels Mead
to Saffron Walden every two hours.
This is the target date for the introduction of the
Church Langley Express Bus Corridor. Route 10 will be introduced during peak hours, and extended at these times to
Harlow Town Station. The off-peak service will be improved to run every 15 minutes.
New route 10A will
be introduced to replace the existing 856 service. Low floor buses will be guaranteed.
NEW ROUTE 2 - STAPLE TYE CIRCULAR This new service will operate from Harlow Bus Station to Hare Street,
Kingsmoor, Staple Tye, Stewards and Passmores before returning to Harlow Bus Station.
During rush hours buses will continue to and start from Harlow Town Station. Buses will
operate to a new more reliable timetable, running every 20 minutes during rush hours and
every 15 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytime. In the evenings a new hourly
service will be introduced, which together with new route 3 below, will provide twice as
many buses to the area than is provided in the evenings today.
This replaces present daytime route 802 between Harlow Town and the Staple Tye area.
NEW ROUTE 3 - STAPLE TYE CIRCULAR This new service will operate as route 2 above, but run the reverse way
around the circle. Buses will also operate every 20 minutes during rush hours and every 15
minutes during Monday to Saturday daytime with an hourly service during the evenings.
This replaces present daytime route 803 between Harlow Town and the Staple Tye area, and
also the Monday to Saturday evening service on route 853.
NEW ROUTE 4 - LATTON BUSH - HARLOW TOWN NEW ROUTE 4A - LATTON BUSH - HARLOW TOWN -
PINNACLES These new services will operate from Latton Bush to
Harlow Bus Station via present route 804. During rush hours buses will continue to, and
start from, Harlow Town Station. Route 4A will continue to Pinnacles Industrial
Estate. The service will be improved to operate every 8 minutes during Monday to Saturday
daytime. During rush hours buses will operate every 10 minutes between Latton Bush and
Harlow Bus and Rail Stations, with alternate buses continuing to Pinnacles. An hourly
evening service will also be provided. This replaces present daytime route 804, and also
the Monday to Saturday evening service on route 854.
